The East End Arts Council—bringing the arts to everyone and inspiring our communities through support, advocacy and education.
The East End Arts Council is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit arts organization, whose mission is to bring the arts to everyone and to inspire our communities through support, advocacy and education. Established in 1972 as an outgrowth of the successful Woodrow Wilson Humanities Series, East End Arts now operates an art gallery and School of the Arts, which offers instruction in art, music and theater to all ages and abilities, impacting the East End community year-round. East End Arts operates in three main locations: the East End Arts’ grounds in Riverhead, NY; Brecknock Hall in Greenport, NY; and Rosalie Dimon Gallery at Jamesport Manor Inn in Jamesport, NY. Signature annual events include: Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival (May), Teeny Awards (spring), Harvest Gospel Concerts Series (November) and Winterfest Jazz on the Vine (winter). The East End Arts Council relies on public and private foundation grant funding, as well as individual and corporate contributions to continue presenting arts opportunities to our region. The East End Arts Council is located at 133 East Main Street, Riverhead, NY.
Each year, East End Arts works hard to bring:
- 22 gallery exhibits in 3 locations, showcasing our community's talent
- 150+ educational art, music, and theater programs to our region's children and adults
- Over 15 events to celebrate the regions rich artistic background
- Private music and group lessons
- Professional development and resources for both emerging and established artists
- Promotion of local artists through education, presentation and community initiatives
- Presenting programs for a very low or no fee:
- Wine Press Concert Series
- Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival
- Harvest Gospel Concerts
- Winterfest
- The Teeny Awards
