The East End Arts Council is the Long Island administrative site for the Strategic Opportunities Stipend (SOS) program, a project of the
New York Foundation for the Arts, designed to help indivdual artists of all disciplines take advantage of unique opportunities that may
significantly benefit their work or career development. The Arts Council is currently developing an on-site resource library for artists
of all disciplines, so they may attend workshop, research grant opportunities and receive technical assistance.
Annually, the East End Arts Council hosts
and coordinates at least two workshops to support grant writing
skills for artists.
EEAC regularly provides professional development
opportunities for new teachers.
On a monthly basis the East End Arts Council
has approximately 250 gallery visitors
EEAC administers the Strategic Opportunities
Stipend (SOS) providing $10,000/year to artists, musicians,
writers and dancers (etc) to further their professional careers.
Approximately 450 artists display their
work in the EEAC Gallery on an annual basis.
