Best in Show "Lollipop Lips " (oil on linen) by Roxanne Panero Marcelle: This dazzling image was not only completely original in concept, it was skillful in depicting both classical and contemporary sensibilities at the same time—and, in content, perfectly on theme.

Tie for First Place "Midway Zone" (gesso) by John Randolph Marcelle: This painting exhibited beautiful texture, skillful use of color and confidence in stroke, and spirit of style.

Tie for First Place "Concentric Structures" (photo) by Harriet Stark Marcelle: Great photograph. Wonderfully (and, undoubtedly, quickly) composed. An amazing moment captured. Very well shot.

Second Place "Blanc et Noir " (mixed) by Lester Sprague Marcelle: This collage uses the Duality theme on several innovative levels. It shows solid design and graphic intuition.

Third Place "Davis Park Long Island" (oil) by Elaine Thompson Marcelle: This painting gives us a unique fish-eye window into the leisurely lives of the “Haves” in this country. Posing, relaxed, in front of what might be a spacious and luxurious country club with self-satisfied smiles that say, there’s not a care that money won’t fix. A surprisingly contemporary comment whether intended or not.
