MEDIUMS: Open to all media, including painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, video, sculpture and poetry.
Original work only, no reproductions.

AWARDS: “Best in Show” winner will be one of five who will participate in the “Winners Show” in the EEAC Gallery in Fall 2009. First, Second, Third Place and Honorable Mentions will be awarded.

PRESENTATION: All work must be framed properly, wired and ready to hang. Work without a wire will not be accepted. Professional, clean presentation improves the look of the artwork and will be considered in the judging process. Only work with a clean ‘gallery edge’ will be accepted unframed, (painted neatly or neatly taped with no staples or tacks showing around the edges).

SIZE: Maximum 30" WIDE x 40" HIGH, including the frame.

ABOUT THE JURORS: Elisca Jeansonne is owner and director of Gallery Merz in Sag Harbor. Karel Deleeuw exhibits selected artists at Flowers at the Greenery in Westhampton Beach and has been a serious art collector for 30 years. ENTRIES & FEES: Open to all artists. Entries limited to three works, which have not been exhibited in previous EEAC shows. $5.00 entry fee per piece for EEAC members, $10.00 per piece non-members. Entry fees are non-refundable. Artists may become members at time of submission. A commission of 30% will be taken upon sale.

LIABILITY: All artwork will be handled with care, however the EEAC cannot assume any liability for loss or damage to artwork.

CALENDAR: Drop off submissions in person at the EEAC Gallery, 133 East Main St., Riverhead, on July 10, 11, or 12. Gallery Hours: 10 AM – 4 PM. (For CD submissions see below.) Be sure to neatly enter required info on labels at page bottom. Artists will be notified of results on July 15th. Artists must pick up work not accepted July 15-18, 10 AM to 4 PM. No pick-ups permitted during opening reception. Pick up for works in the show: “Off-The-Wall”* August 22nd (*from 4-6 PM only) and August 23rd, 10 AM-3 PM. Storage pick-up August 25-27, 10 –4 PM. (Thereafter a $1 per day, per item storage fee will be assessed.)

POETRY ENTRIES: must be received by July 8. Please download Poetry Entry Form at www.eastendarts.org.
Entries must be on letter-sized paper no longer than one white page typed at 10 point Helvetica (minimum) in a vertical format. Do not put your name on the poem; All contact information goes on the Poetry Entry Form Title of Poem is again required on each (unsigned) poem. Make 5 copies of each poem. (There is a 3-poem limit)
Mail poems and entry form to the gallery unfolded in a 9x12 envelope in time to arrive 2 days before the earliest “drop-off” date. First, second and third place will be awarded. First place winners will be honored in the Winners’ Show the following year. Entry fee is $5 per poem for EEAC members and $10 for non-members. Entries received without entry form and payment will not be accepted. Sorry we cannot return entries.
