IMPORTANT DETAILS; PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY

All work, with the exception of sculpture, must be securely wired and ready to hang.  Professional presentation improves the look of the artwork and will be considered in the judging process.  Use clean mats and sturdy frames protected by glass or (preferably) Plexiglas® which is safer and less reflective.  Oils and acrylics on canvas do not have to be framed but must also be wired for hanging and have all edges finished either with neatly painted gallery edges or staples meticulously concealed with attractive, secure tape. Label all work with name, address, phone, title, size, medium and price. We encourage you to offer your entries for sale. No art that has been previously exhibited at EEAC can be entered. There is a three entry maximum.

SIZE RESTRICTIONS: for all shows (except Members’ Show): 30"-wide by 40"-high, including the frame. For 3D sculpture: maximum 28”-wide, 72”-high and 40-lbs. See Members’ Show prospectus for special size restriction. All artwork must be original. No prints of originals will be accepted.

Please see our website or call the gallery for protocol on CD entries or entering poetry.

COMMISSION & FEES: Artists get 70% commission on all sales and EEAC collects and remits the sales tax. There is a $10.00 entry fee for each piece for EEAC members (3 entries for $25) and a $20.00 entry fee per piece for non-members (3 entries for $55). Poetry entry fees are $5 per poem for members, $10 non-members). Artists can become members at time of submission.

LIABILITY:  All artwork will be handled with care, however the East End Arts Council cannot assume any liability for loss or damage to artwork.

AWARDS: The guest jurors select the work that will be included in the juried shows. Each juried show will have a Best In Show Winner, who will participate in the 2008 Winners’ Show. First, Second, Third Place and Honorable Mentions are also awarded.

For the convenience of our artists, OFF-THE-WALL artwork pick-up is available the Friday the show ends.  Work can also be retrieved OFF-THE-WALL the following day (Saturday).   Work that is not accepted can be claimed from the time you are notified (early to mid-week before the opening) through the Saturday after the opening, but not during the opening.

Please note: Dates are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Always check the individual prospectus for each show that is mailed to all members six weeks in advance. Additional information and any changes regarding each show will be provided at that time. Information is also available on the East End Arts Council website,
