Note Size restrictions: 14" wide x 20" high including the frame for 2-D work. Same for 3D but artist must provide pedestal. Drop off dates: January 3, 4, 5. Pick up: February 22*-27.

From gorgeous still lifes to photos of food fights, if it’s art about the edible this is the show to show it off. As well as being a feast for the eyes, the Long Island Farm Bureau is partnering with us for this exhibit and the opening reception will be a cornucopia of delicious samplings from cheese to wine and just about every food grown on Long Island.

Not one, not two—three! That’s the theme. The
interpretation is your own.
Juried photography show. Traditional, digital, manipulated all welcome. Drop off dates: Aug 21,22,23. Pick up: October 3*-8.

HOLIDAY MARKETPLACE

The entire gallery filled with objects d’art and fine crafts
Submitting for Holiday Marketplace is by appointment
Wed.Nov.5 – Sat. Nov 8 and Wed Nov. 12 – 14th. Call for an appointment beginning October 28th. Pick up: January 2-6.

A PROSPECTUS FOR EACH SHOW WILL BE AVAILABLE AND MAILED TO ALL MEMBERS 6 WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF EXHIBIT OPENING. BIO AND ARTISTIC FOCUS OF GUEST JUROR WILL BE AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE.

Work not accepted can be claimed from the time notified (usually the Tues. or Wed. before the opening) through the Saturday after the opening, but not during the opening.

OPENING RECEPTIONS: Opening Receptions for all 2008 shows (except the Winners’ Show) are on the Friday the show opens from 5-8 PM. If there is a change due to unforeseen circumstances or inclement weather, we will do our best to notify our members and artists included in the show.

*Shows end on a Friday at 4PM. The first opportunity for OFF-THE-WALL artwork pick-up is 4PM -6PM on the day the show ends --exhibit must remain intact until 4PM. The following day (Saturday) work can also be retrieved OFF-THE-WALL.

Gallery hours: 10 to 4, Monday through Saturday, 12-4 Sundays Memorial Day-Labor Day.

IMPORTANT DETAILS; PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY

All work, with the exception of sculpture must be securely wired, and ready to hang, Professional presentation improves the look of the artwork and will be considered in the judging process., Use clean mats and sturdy frames protected by glass or (preferably) Plexiglas which is safer and less reflective. Oils and acrylics on canvas do not have to be framed but must also be wired for hanging and have all edges finished either with neatly painted gallery edges or staples meticulously concealed with attractive, secure tape. Label all work with name, address, phone, title, size, medium and price. We encourage you to offer your entries for sale. No art that has been previously exhibited at EEAC can be entered. There is a three entry maximum.

SIZE RESTRICTIONS: for all shows (except Members’ Show): 30" wide by 40" high, including the frame. For 3D sculpture maximum 28” wide, 72” high and 40 lbs. See Members’ Show for special size restriction. All artwork must be original, no prints of originals will be accepted. Please see our website or call the gallery for protocol on entering poetry.

COMMISSION & FEES: Artists get 70% commission on all sales. There is a $5.00 entry fee for each piece for EEAC members and $10.00 entry fee per piece for non-members. Artists can become members at time of submission. Work must be dropped off in person at the EEAC Gallery at 133 E. Main St, Riverhead.

LIABILITY: All artwork will be handled with care, however the East End Arts Council cannot assume any liability for loss or damage to artwork. For further convenience and safety we have initiated “Off-the-Wall” pick-up from 4PM-6PM on the final day of a show (always a Friday), and again the following day (Saturday) from 10AM to 3PM. Thereafter artwork will go into traditional “porch storage” until pick-up deadline at which time a $1 per item/ per day storage fee will be assessed.

AWARDS: The guest jurors select the work that will be included in the juried shows. Each juried show will have a Best In Show Winner, who will participate in the 2008 Winners’ Show. First, Second, Third Place and Honorable Mentions are also awarded.
