Levels of the Japanese Sensei in Martial Arts
August 1 – 5, 2016
(RIVERHEAD, NY, April 14, 2016) – The East End Arts School is proud to announce a new music camp program for children and teens ages 9-14: Guitar Sensei. Not only is this camp cleverly modeled after the levels of the Japanese sensei in martial arts, it is also a bilingual camp for youth speaking English and also for youth who speak Spanish! This music camp will be held August 1 through August 5, 2016, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM and is designed to guide both the beginner, and/or the intermediate, to their musical goals with the guitar. Guitar Sensei covers all needed guitar techniques and gives each student the tools to become a fine player. In this approach, students are advanced to the next color of guitar belt, similar to Karate. The camp week will focus on the first three; white, yellow and orange. Enjoy a fun, creative time learning new skills and playing innovative music. Spanish speakers welcome. The week culminates in a group performance. Enrollment is limited to only 12 students; interested families are encouraged the register early. Enroll and pay in full by April 30, 2016 and receive a 5% discount.
