At the East End Arts School, 141 E. Main Street, Riverhead, NY

(RIVERHEAD, NY, April 28, 2016) – The East End Arts School is pleased to announce a special series of watercolor workshops for adults starting in May and running through August at their campus in downtown Riverhead, NY. Community members of any and all skill levels are invited to immerse themselves in water and color with this series – take one workshop or all three! Explore the potential of this fluid medium with a variety of multi-level courses and workshops. Painting in watercolor means working with transparency, color, light and form while learning techniques of color washes, color mixing and wet and dry brush methods. Each teacher shares their expertise and offers individual attention in a small group atmosphere. Advance registration is required by calling 631-369-2171, emailing or visiting

Workshops in this series include:
Wednesdays starting May 11, 2016, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (5 classes)
Learn fresh techniques and push the limits of watercolor in this course. Students will experiment with pigments, grounds, translucency, opacity and work with the press.

FROM SEA TO SHORE with Beth Nehls
Mondays starting JUNE 6, 2016, 2:00 - 5:00 PM (5 classes)
With the inspiration of seascapes, students will be guided through various exercises to find out the potential of watercolor.

Combine plein air sketches, micron pens and watercolor while rendering the interesting architectural details on the grounds of East End Arts.
