East End Arts Announces
MUSIC CLASSES FOR BABIES & TODDLERS
With Juilliard-trained pianist and licensed Musikgarten teacher, Marlene Markard
Wednesdays starting January 11
(RIVERHEAD, NY, December 16, 2016) – The East End Arts School is excited to announce upcoming music classes for babies and toddlers, from birth to 4 years of age, to take place on Wednesdays starting January 11, 2017. Lay the foundation for music literacy, increase pre-school readiness, foster a life-long lover of music, and promote motor skill, cognitive, aural, emotional, and social development in these stimulating classes with Juilliard-trained pianist and licensed Musikgarten teacher, Marlene Markard! Children will move, dance, sing, explore instruments, do finger play, and engage in other fun and educational activities. Classes will be held on Wednesdays starting January 11, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the East End Arts School (located at 141 E. Main Street, Riverhead, NY.) The East End Arts School’s music program has approximately 200 students each semester studying voice, piano, drums, violin, guitar, and band and orchestral instruments. New in September 2016, the East End Arts School has expanded its offerings by providing music lessons at a satellite location in Bridgehampton at the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center in addition to their main campus in Riverhead. Along with private and group music instruction, the East End Arts School also offers the Music Masters Mentorship program, a free program for a select group of high school musicians to learn from a music industry professional, as well as the East End Arts Student Orchestra and Perlman Music Collaborative Program for string students every summer, where participants rehearse under the baton of violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman.
