CALL FOR ARTISTS 2019

If you are an East End Arts member and creator of beautiful and inspired items, come exhibit and sell your work at our Holiday Shoppes Makers Market. Hundreds of unique items including holiday ornaments, one-of-a-kind jewelry, clothing, accessories, ceramics, and more will fill East End Arts Historic Fresh Pond School House and Carriage House buildings as visitors from all over Long Island come to buy unique, one-of-a-kind hand-made holiday gifts.

Important Information:

Participation: You must be a member of East End Arts and contribute a $20 per weekend or $75 for the full (5) weekend session participation fee to exhibit in the Holiday Makers Market. Selection priority will be given to those that participate for the full session. 

Space: Each participating maker will be provided an area large enough for a 6-foot table. Tables can be rented for $50.00 for the season on a first-come first-served basis.

Space assignment: Selected vendors that participate for the full session will be assigned to the Schoolhouse and can leave displays set-up for the duration of the event at their own risk. Those that participate on a week to week basis or those assigned to the Carriage House will have to remove their displays after each weekend session. 

Sale items: You must sell your original creations. 

Market Monitoring: Makers are required to staff their displays during market days for which they sign up.  

Sales: Each participating Maker is responsible for their own sales transactions. The standard 30% EEA sales commission applies to Makers Market sales and should be donated to East End Arts weekly.   

Pick-up: Unsold items must be removed at close on the last day of the market unless other arrangements are made. Items left 90 days beyond the close of the market will be considered abandoned and become the property of East End Arts. 

Important note: East End Arts is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged or unaccounted for artists items in any space or at any time during the event. All items are left at the owner's risk.


Application Process:

1. Use the form below to submit your application
2. Submit online applications by Friday, October 25, 2019
3. Participants must submit images of your work with the application for review. 
4. You will be notified if selected by email no later than Friday, November 1st.

Due to space restrictions, not all submissions can be accepted.

Important Note: East End Arts reserves the right to select or deny Holiday Makers Market content based on quality and acceptability.


SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS:  

Inventory: You are responsible for managing your inventory and sales. Typically gift items under $150 sell best. 
Item Tags: It is suggested that items be priced and tagged with removable labels prior to the event.
Displays: You are responsible for providing attractive displays for your items
(i.e. a case for jewelry, easels for plates, and ornaments require a small loop for hooks. EEA reserves the right to prohibit unacceptable displays.)
Set-up Time: Makers will be provided time to set up their displays prior to each day of the market.
