One-Day Workshop
with Eileen Kelly

What can you make with torn and cut strips of paper? Anything you want!
Add a few ink pen stitches, a few dots & dashes, voila, your own personal artistic expression. In this workshop we will explore the art of paper collage, choosing colors, size, texture, prints; The art of tearing paper for effect, layering, gluing, and detailing. We will also discuss movement & harmony throughout the piece. Enjoy the process of discovering artistic expression with paper.
Materials:

A firm, approximate size 8 x 10, base such as mixed media paper, cardboard, wood board
Papers of various colors, textures, patterns for tearing, stripping, or cutting [such as old magazines, catalogues, newsprint, tissue paper, craft or journal sheets, crosswords, old sheet music . . .]
Glue such as [mod podge, Elmer’s, craft]
Optional: ink pens, markers, crayons, pastels
